The Story Behind

This artwork is about how people change and adapt to hardships and hurdles in their lives when in the face of adversity. In this artwork, all the objects present acts as symbols and every symbol has its own meaning behind the story. First and foremost, the lemon in this collage art represents hardships, while the circles is a representation of a vinyl record, which symbolizes the stories of these people being told. The dragonfly in the middle symbolizes change, transformation and adaptability in life.

In this artwork, the man at the bottom with a snake which is trying to eat the moth represents evil. The moth in this artwork symbolizes vulnerability and weakness spiritually. This illustrates that the man could be someone who takes advantage of people that are weaker than him for his own good. On the other hand, the man at the left represents a wealthy man who is able to get away from most of his problems because of his wealthy background. The oranges symbolize prosperity and wealth while the bird on the man's collar symbolizes freedom. This illustrates that though it is true that money can’t solve everything but in most cases, but money is still undeniably a powerful tool to use to get rid of many problems in our lives.

As for the third man on the top represents a man that chooses to remain kind despite going through hardships. The gardening fork, shovel, watering can and gloves represent the character of a gardener which are patience, persistent and hardworking. Lastly, the last man on the right with a fish, knife and agapanthus plant, is a man who became cruel and selfish in tough situations. The fish in this collage art represents a cold-blooded personality while the agapanthus plant symbolizes toxicity. Lastly, the knife at the back of the man's head which symbolizes his cruel personality.
